Hi, my name is ColdBeer and let’s start with Assassin’s Creed Origins Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty  and intrigue, is disappearing in a ruthless fight for power.

Here you will unveil dark  secrets and forgotten myths as you go back to the one founding moment:  The Origins of the AssAssins Brotherhood.

People are talking that this is one of the best  Assassin’s Creed games they have ever played.

It has a great combat system,  almost no bugs and only bad comments are from grumpy old dudes who can’t cope with the fact  that this is now a role playing game.

Although I must admit that if you are not  a fan of an ancient Egypt this setting can seem a bit boring.

Some settings are really overused and  not interesting anymore, like you know, Egyptian, Ancient Greek, Viking or Latvian mythology.

You know especially the Latvian one with all that Lāčplēsis and zirga galva everywhere  you go.

Anno 1800 Here you will take charge of your own fortune as you navigate the rapidly evolving  technological landscape and malicious political arena of the 19th century.

In other words here you will have to build an empire that will reach  from the stinky cities of Europe to the untouched jungles of South America.

Game is rich with technological innovations and conspiracies, so it will provide you an  opportunity to prove your skills as a ruler.

Or, you know, to disappoint everyone, more likely.

You will create huge cities, plan efficient logistic networks, settle on an exotic new  continent, send out expeditions around the globe, and dominate your opponents by diplomacy,  trade, warfare your pure awesomeness.

The bad thing about this game is that it is  armed with DRM and requires a Ubisoft Account.

Sometimes I think they do everything to repel  you from buying their games.

Those features do nothing, you can find the game in every  pirate website anyway, so why even bother? Anyway, about 80% of reviews are positive,  so if town builders are your spoon of potato salad – it may be an interesting choice for you.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Because it was an Epic store exclusive,  it has various issues; from missing content to controller problems and of course it needs  you to have a Ubisoft Account as well.

But in general this is an amazing title.

I bought this game for a full price on the release day and I can proudly say that this is probably  the best game I have played in the year 2020.

I was expecting nothing from it – it  looks childish and colorful and I don’t like any of that.

You know,  I’m 40 years old, you can’t buy me with colors.

But I started to feel that something is a sus with  my prejudice when I heard the first joke.

READ  Sonic Team saw Breath of the Wild and went “Let's do that; But with Grind Rails” Hey, we said this game was open world

Which was really good, but I’m not gonna spoil it to  you.

And later I started to realize that the whole game is filled with jokes that I find funny.

Even in the character creation menu.

Fun thing is that during the whole game  gods – Zeus and Prometheus – are talking in the background about you in the past tense.

Like everything you do has already happened.

You know, when they say “and then he saw a  terrible monster”, you can be sure that you will see a terrible monster in a second,  because it is your story that has already happened, but you don’t know how yet,  only gods know.

In other words – you have to live the story gods are talking about.

So let’s hope they don’t say anything like “and he put some pineapples into his potato salad”.

Nonononono, this is not a horror game, so let’s hope they will not say that.

Although avoid this game if you don’t like puzzles.

Fenyx Rising is filled with them.

But if  you liked solving puzzles in Skyrim for example, you will feel right at home here as well.

Far Cry 5 Here you will spill rivers  of blood and your victims will drown in their own liquids because you are awesome and they suck.

Your task is to stand up to cult leader Joseph Seed and his siblings to spark the  fires of resistance and liberate the besieged community.

In other words,  you will have to get rid of fanatics without any political correctness.

Although keep in mind that this is a very colorful game, a true gem for flowers and airy  fairy unicorn lovers.

Also there is a lot of guts and carnage in general – really great game.

Also all the DLCs are discounted as well, so even if you own the game already, check them out, maybe  you missed some good stuff in the past.

Mordheim The City if the Damned Set in the Warhammer World’s decimated Empire city this is a turn-based tactical game where you lead  warbands into bloody and lethal skirmishes.

The game blends RPG elements, fast-paced  tactical combat and unit customization.

The story of the game revolves after an  event when a twin tailed comet crashed on Mordheim, the City of Damned turned into a  terrifying battlefield where rival warbands fight fiercely for the control of key neighborhoods,  looking for glory and fortune by acquiring the very valuable comet fragments.

You will loot items and weapons hidden in the ruins, or take those  from the puny bodies of your dead enemies.

People on Steam are talking that the game is slow,  but hard.

READ  It is definitely a horror game - Scorn has a lot of gore in it, but it is actually a puzzle game with a huge amount of point-and-click elements

It has some minor bugs, it’s not flawless by any means,  but for this price you can’t argue – it’s a great deal for any XCOM-style game fan.

Far Cry Primal Welcome to the Stone Age,  a time for extreme danger and limitless adventure, when giant mammoths and saber  tooth tigers ruled the Earth and humanity was at the bottom of the food chain.

Well, not the very bottom, racoons were still below us, but a fat juicy human would  also be a more preferred meal for a saber tooth tiger, so I don’t know if this lower  position of racoons really help us here.

As the last survivor of your hunting group,  you will learn to craft a deadly arsenal of, you know, sticks and stones, to fend off fierce  beasts, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land and become the Apex Predator.

That won’t be easy, except if you play on easy, then it will be easy.

Might & Magic X – Legacy If you have played Might & Magic  RPG games before, you know very well what they are, and this title is a classic game  made with a modern graphic engine.

Although you can’t freely roam around,  you move in tiles and fight monsters that are placed on your path just like you do in The Legend  of Grimrock and many other dungeon crawlers.

Meaning that games like Might and Magic 7, which  was released in 1999 had more freedom because in there you could move in any direction.

So this is a blast from the past and definitely a game not for everyone,  but I can guarantee that every classic dungeon crawler lover will be satisfied.

Hero’s Hour Exploring the world  and developing your town and army are both turn-based, giving you time to think and  plan out your next moves, but in battles your units will do the best and fight for themselves  in real time – all hundreds of them.

And you can cast spells and give attack  orders to swing the tide of battle – or just sit back and watch as your might unfolds.

That is a really cool concept, something fresh in the world of games similar to Heroes of Might and  Magic.

Although I’m not saying that this concept is perfect.

You know some things are good as  they are, you don’t need to mess with them.

For example potato salad.

If you add pineapples or,  you know, even vodka to it it may look cool, but please don’t do that.

People on Steam are saying that procedural generation in this game is great and last  patches greatly improved the performance, but the game can be really difficult and prove to be a  challenge for a casual player.

Outward Definitive Edition This is an open world survival game with souls-like combat mechanics.

In this edition  you will find both DLCs, new weapons, dungeons and also several life quality improvements.

Game has only a mostly positive review score on Steam, but it doesn’t do the justice.

Most people who are giving a dislike spend 40 or 60 hours in-game and that  honestly looks like some kind of masochism.

If you don’t like the game – just don’t play  it.

Like Warren Buffet once said – always take the easy road and you will get there first.

Anyway, Outward is like Skyrim and Dark Souls had a weird hybrid baby and instead of abortion,  this time they decided to keep it.

If you like both of these games – why not,  Outward has some problems but in general it is a nice game.

The Sinking City I want to be totally honest with you – this  is not a very good game.

For some people it constantly crashes, combat is kinda awful and  inventory is a blasphemy of some sort.

But it has a mostly positive review score  and this price is almost good enough.

Anyway, this is an adventure and investigation  game set in an open world inspired by the universe of H.

P.

Lovecraft.

The half-submerged city of Oakmont is gripped by supernatural forces and You’re a private  investigator, who has to uncover the truth of what has possessed the city  and the minds of its inhabitants.

Keep in mind that people are saying  that if your expectations for this game are low, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Games do a great job by making you feel like a truly great detective.

And also  everyone is agreeing on the fact that this game should be priced 10 euros or below to  actually feel like a good purchase.

And, you know, this time is now.

And now let us take a short look at what is on sale at GOG dot com.

The Walking Dead Season  One and Two have great discounts, really great adventure games, also pixel art legend Hyper  Light Drifter, a delight for Heroes of Might and Magic fans – Songs of Conquest and many others.
