Hi, my name is ColdBeer and let’s start with Othercide Here you will lead your army of female warriors to battle. Your skill in combat will decide their fate, shape their abilities and personality. So under your command they probably just die angrily in pain and agony.
Anyway, jokes aside, like in all turn-based games, here you will have to plan your moves carefully, because one wrong action can lead your party to failure. Although the game offers cool mechanics, where you can sacrifice one to heal another – survivors will get stronger, ready to fight the next battle. The bad news is that this game practices permadeath. So by sacrificing warriors you are like sacrificing them for real.
And the elephant in the room is of course the visuals of the game. Only black, white and red color palette exists here and makes this game stand out from other similar projects. All that is kinda cool, but when I played it a few years ago I realized that this game is a tribute to anime lovers. So if you are not an anime fan, I don’t know. Probably avoid.
Severed Steel Here you will play as a woman named Steel. You have a prosthetic arm that you use to navigate the levels, which adds an interesting and unique element to the gameplay. And although Steel has no arm, she’s not arm-less. If you know what I mean. Honestly here you will find a huge arsenal of arms. Just not arms-arms.
The game’s physics engine can be a little bit wild at times, which makes for some hilarious moments when enemies get flung around like ragdolls. And with a killer soundtrack that perfectly matches the game’s pace, Severed Steel is really fun to play.
Whether you’re a hardcore FPS fan or just looking for a casual game, I think it’s worth your time – it has more than 90% of positive reviews on Steam and that is always proof of a good game.
Jupiter Hell Here time flows only when you act. Just like in the famous Superhot. Although Jupiter Hell is a turn-based roguelike game where you get to kick demon butt on a space station.
The retro graphics and creepy audio design create an atmosphere that’s scarier than your mother-in-law when she’s missing her favorite spoon for potato salad. And the gameplay is as tough as the steak you make. Yeah, the roguelike genre is here for a reason. You will die die die die die and die again until you do not die. Then repeat. But keep in mind that with a ton of weapons and abilities to choose from, you can mix and match until you find the perfect combo for yourself. And sure, the game can be unforgiving, but that’s what makes it fun! Who needs a therapist when you can scream at your monitor and blame the game for all the mistakes you made in your life that literally lead you to playing this game. Although the game itself is very nice – more than 90% of reviews on Steam are positive. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
This is an adventure with unique gameplay that blends investigation, action and exploration – it will test the limits of your nerves and intelligence.
Yeah, this game is not for the faint of heart. The puzzles can be devilishly difficult, and the plot is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Here you will have to track down evil in the darkest corners of London while playing as the great detective. And untangle a web of intrigue leading to the final stunning revelation about the evil that lurks in the city.
Is it real evil, or is it just Scooby-doo level evil? I don’t know. Well I do, but this is not a channel of spoilers. This is a channel of games and potato salad. Approved by your sister. Desperados III
Here you can kill quietly with a knife, or take out multiple foes with your revolvers. I especially like the knife part, it somehow feels more personal and, of course, requires more skill.
Scenarios Desperados presents are far from cliche, situations are quite original, but also familiar, with a nice vibe of Wild West. I say vibe, because here you will fight not only in small frontier towns, but also in creepy swamps, riverbanks and even in sprawling modern cities. Here you can choose between non-lethal and deadly attacks, meaning that you can finish the game without killing anyone. I have no idea why you may do that, it’s boring. I live my real life without killing anyone, why should I do the same where I’m allowed to snap a neck or two? For example, I’m against hunting for fun, but I play theHunter and I slaughter all the animals in the forest for pure entertainment. You know why? Because they are not real duuuh. Anyway, Desperados 3 is like an old good Commandos game, but modern, with amazing visuals and great quality overall. Frozenheim This is a Norse city builder game with nice management mechanics and multiple progression trees where you maintain and expand your settlement.
As you launch exploration parties on foot and by boats you will not only discover resources you can exploit but also draw the attention of the enemies who seek to destroy you. This is a really bloody RTS game where you have a chance to chop your enemies like butter or hide like a coward behind huge wooden walls and towers filled with archers so you could fill attacking enemies with your stingy arrows. Or if you lack arrows you can safely swear at them and call the attackers and their mamas fat.
To prove yourself an Earl worthy of songs and sagas, you will build and expand a Viking village from nothing to a rich, unconquerable settlement. Or very conquerable and puny and you will have to load the game and play again but this time without stupid decisions.
Here you can forage, hunt, fish, grow your food, and keep your clan safe as the seasons pass. Also seek the blessings of ancient shrines and build temples to win the favor of Asgard and all the Ass… gardians.
Legend of Keepers
This is a mix of Dungeon Management and Roguelite where you will lead your career as a Dungeon Manager! Here you will join Dungeons Company and climb the corporate ladder, crush so-called “heroes” and protect the company’s treasures. Your work will consist of hiring monsters, managing your employees and keeping an eye on your stock of traps. You don’t want to run out of traps, that’s for sure. Also, all that managing stuff can quickly go out of hand and just like in France every day you will have to deal with employee strikes and other unexpected events. But hey, it’s not a democracy here – you go on strike – you go into a meat grinder.
Well, it’s a figure of speech. Or is it?
Each run will be different but you will keep some of the bonuses between runs. First, you will have to plan your defense against a group of adventurers. Check their stats and resistances, then place the best traps and monsters to defeat them! Or you know, shamefully die and try again and again. Legend of Keepers has very positive reviews on Steam, so it may be the game you were looking for after all.
Cloudpunk Here you will play as a person named Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis.
You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the gray clouds high above. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.
You never ask what is in the package you are delivering, but you know, one day everything went south and suddenly you will have to unravel mysteries in a world of corporate conspiracy, hackers and rogue AI. People on Steam are saying that Cloudpunk is slow paced, relaxing and has an incredible atmosphere. Recommended after a hard day at work. Well, that says it all.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion Here you will take control of an adorable turnip who happens to be an absolute menace to society. After failing to pay taxes and getting evicted from your home, you must go on an epic quest to pay back your massive debt to Mayor Onion. Use garden tools to solve plantastic puzzles, meet eccentric vegetables and fruits, and take on treacherous fights against animals both big and small including the capitalist swine. Along the journey uncover what’s spoiling this garden community and rise to tear down the corrupt vegetable government!
In other words you are a lazy shady turnip that wants to evade paying taxes and along the way start the revolution. Some kind of Lenin I guess. Cossacks 3
This is a remake of the classic game that originally launched in 2000. Here you will find 20 nations, 120 different unit types, and over 220 different buildings. That sounds like an overkill, and believe me – it is. But it is also really fun to play. This game is like Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator before it was cool. Also besides the battles on land, you can build an armada of battleships and attack your enemies at sea.
Game offers five single player-campaigns. Cool feature is that the game lets you fight massive battles with up to 32,000 soldiers simultaneously on one battlefield.
Be sure you have that NASA supercomputer for that.
And now, as always, let’s check out what is discounted on GOG dot com. Surprisingly Bethesda has a sale right now. All the Elder Scrolls games are discounted, also you can get Elder Scrolls Daggerfall and Arena absolutely free. Also classic Doom, Fallout series, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, Prey and many others are on sale right now. Just click on my safe affiliate link in the description below and explore the greatness. Thank you for watching, have a nice day and I’ll see you next time, bye!
