Is the video game Age of Empires fun?

Hi, my name is ColdBeer and let’s start with Return of the Obra Dinn This may come as a surprise but the game has an overwhelmingly positive review score left by thousands of people who actually bought and played the game.

In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn set out from London for the Orient with over 200 tons of trade goods.

Six months later it hadn’t met its rendezvous point and was declared lost at sea.

But early this morning, about 5 years after its disappearance, the Obra Dinn drifted into a port with damaged sails and no visible crew.

As insurance investigator for the East India Company’s London Office, you dispatch immediately to find means to board the ship, and prepare an assessment of damages.

So this is a first-person mystery adventure based on exploration and logical deduction.

In other words – a story-rich single player atmospheric horror detective retro walking simulator return of the jedi of the planet of the apes.

Age of Empires 4: Anniversary Edition I remember when I bought the game for the full price on the release day I wasn’t very pleased.

You know I bought it because I wanted to make a review video, but I never ever managed to make it because I was literally bored by this game and I couldn’t force myself to play it for more than a few hours.

I can’t say that I hated the game, but for me it looked and felt just like Age of Empires 2, but with cartoony mobile phone graphics aimed at kids.

And I wanted a new game, not something I have played a million times before.

Well, I know that some people have nothing against visuals like that, but I couldn’t enjoy the game.

I can make an example of what a game like that should look like – check out Manor Lords – it’s realistic, it’s pleasing to the eye, it’s what we were all expecting from Age of Empires 4 – and didn’t get.

And Manor Lords is an indie game.

What a shame.

For Age of Empires.

Otherwise the game is nice.

You just have to pull yourself over these visuals straight from the children’s coloring books.

If you like that – the price is more than great.

All in all it’s a triple A RTS game with very positive reviews.

Asterigos: Curse of The Stars In this high fantasy world you will discover the long forgotten secrets, interesting battle encounters, interconnected maps full of places to explore, and an immersive story where every choice matters.

The game is really fun if you like light souls-like battles and can enjoy a bit of cartoony graphics.

But not everything is nice.

Game has no map.

Like at all, so you will have to remember all the places in your head.

That of course creates another level of immersiveness, because you will have to use your actual navigational senses you usually never use in games.

But do we actually want that? I don’t think so.

Anyway, if you decide to obtain it, the game will take about 30 hours from your boring life.

Mafia: Definitive Edition Remastered and re-released in 2020-ies, the game is a proud owner of very positive reviews on Steam.

Here you will take on the role of a mafioso in 1930 city of Lost Heaven.

It’s a fictional place, but it’s inspired by the city of Chicago.

The town got hit by The Great Depression, and the advent of Prohibition in America means lucrative business opportunities for various mobsters.

And let’s be fair, for some shady old ladies as well who were brewing their moonshines deep in the cellars.

By the way, did you know that you have to pour out the first cups of moonshine you make, because it’s poison? If you drink it – you will die or at least go blind.

I’ve heard that from some master brewer a long time ago, but I can’t remember the details.

Anyway as I’ve said many times before, prohibition, in my eyes, is a crime against humanity, so those gangsters are just folk struggling to survive in this authoritarian environment.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Have you ever wanted to be a protagonist in an Alien movie? Well, honestly, nobody cares what you want, also if yes – what is wrong with you? Anyway, then you need to play Alien Isolation, because this one is nothing like the movies.

Although it’s really fun to play if you have a friend or two.

You can play in single player as well, but I assure you that if you want full experience, you will have to find some friends.

I know, that may be a mission-impossible, but you can try anyway.

You don’t need real friends, all you need is some Discord channel with same-minded people.

So here you will be exploring some friendly planet filled with friendly fauna and live in harmony all together.

Except you don’t.

This game is a carnage where you will have to battle through hordes of different types of Xenomorph, customize your character and gear, and level-up as you try to contain this ever-growing threat.

I especially liked the diversity of enemies in this game, they really took their time to create some nasty monsters.

The game itself is basically Left 4 Dead just with Aliens.

I think it’s great and 81% of Steam reviews are also positive.

Choo-Choo Charles Here you will navigate a massive play area in a cute little train and your mission here is to kill and destroy another train.

Which is a bloodthirsty spider train named Charles.

So mister Charlie is a very bad train, he misbehaves by eating people alive.

He’s a very hungry train and he won’t stop until you stop him.

With machine guns, rockets and other weaponry.

People on Steam are praising the game for having a great story, characters, concept and design.

It is a short game though, it will take about 3 hours to beat it, but those hours will be legendary.

Game has a very positive review score, so don’t hesitate – if you ever wanted to hunt for some killer spider train – it is your chance.

The biggest downside of the game is that you can’t romance other trains or Charlie himself.

It would be great if this story took a turn towards breeding new Charlies.

So you can’t cross that out of your bucket list yet, but who knows what next patch will bring us.

Stolen Realm The game has a simultaneous team turn system implemented for faster combat and character scaling.

Meaning that no matter how many people will join you on your quest – the overall difficulty of the game will stay the same.

Here more than 240 skills in 8 distinct skill trees, 500 items and fun rewarding activities will keep you entertained.

Game is in early access, but it already has very positive reviews, so it’s a great sign.

People are talking that the game is really enjoyable, but best if played in a group of 2 to 4 people.

For example I don’t have this amount of friends, so I will skip it and keep my virginity strong with other games, but if you have a buddy or two, invite your both mothers-in-law and have fun together.

And after that, of course, you can try this game.

Borderlands 3 Here you will blast through weird worlds and enemies as one of four Vault Hunters – the ultimate treasure-seeking badasses of the Borderlands, each with deep skill trees, abilities and customization.

So in this looter-shooter RPG you will play solo or join the battle with friends to take on epic enemies, score loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.

With bazillions of guns and gadgets, every fight is an opportunity to score new gear.

And that gear is more than crazy.

Firearms with self-propelling bullet shields? Check.

Rifles that spawn fire-spewing volcanoes? Obviously.

Guns that grow legs and chase down enemies while cursing? Yeah, got that too.

On Steam Borderlands 3 is owner of very positive reviews, so it’s a no brainer if you like to shoot and loot – just grab the game and be happy.

Make your enemies unhappy by making them die.

Shadow Warrior 2 Here you will find an array of over 70 lethal blades and explosive firearms to overcome the demonic invasion.

Become a whirlwind of steel and blood with razor sharp katana, short swords, crescent blades, and hand claws or unleash a hellish symphony of firearms to decimate your enemies.

If I had one word to describe this game it would be.

.

.

potatosalad Because potatosalad is great and so is this game.

It is worth all your money even without a discount.

Although it’s quite short, but who cares.

Better short fun than long agony.

You know what’s even better? Long fun.

Oh shut up! Divinity: Original Sin 2 Made by the same studio now working on Baldur’s Gate 3, this is one of the best RPG games ever created.

Overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam can confirm that with an ease.

And people in the comment section are openly saying that this may be the best game they have ever played in general.

But you know, you shouldn’t trust people that easily, once my good friend said that you can’t drink beer instead of water.

BLASPHEMY! BLASPHEMY! Because It’s not the negativity I want in my life, we are not friends anymore.

Also keep in mind that this is a serious game for adults.

It has a dark and gloomy world and sexual content.

But don’t worry, it will keep your virginity as strong as ever.

Original Sin 2 will take about 200 hours out of your boring life and that is really amazing, because every minute of it is really entertaining.

And now let’s check out what GOG dot com has on sale this week.

Hooded Horse has this tiny anniversary sale.

The discounts are not very high, but keep in mind that almost all of their games are new and have very good review scores overall.

I especially like Against the Storm, a really entertaining game.

You can try the demo version on GOG for free and I really recommend it to you.

It’s a very nice, original strategy base building game with roguelike elements return of the jedi of the planet of the apes.

Thank you for watching, have a nice day and I’ll see you next time, bye!
